The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized an industrial visit to the Papanasam Hydroelectric Power Plant on 25-08-2026 for the V Semester EEE students. A total of 22 students participated, accompanied by Mr. VR. Shankar Ganesh, Lecturer / EEE, and Mr. K. Venkatesh, Lecturer / EEE.

During the visit, students gained practical knowledge of hydroelectric power generation and observed how the energy of flowing water is converted into mechanical energy through turbines and subsequently into electrical energy using generators. The visit helped students relate theoretical concepts to practical power plant operations and enhanced their understanding of hydroelectric power systems.
